ways to help with worship

apostles band
welcomes the gifts of lead vocalists and musicians who play electric and acoustic guitar, trap set, violin, percussion, djembe/congas, bass and keyboard..

instrumentalists and vocalsits
share their gifts at selected services. ensembles range from brass quartets to celtic and jazz combos. soloists range from emo rock singer-songwriters to operatic tenors.

sound techs
work our mackie (24 channel) board for pre-service band rehearsals and during worship times.

computer techs
run our worship presentation software on a laptop during services. (the software displays images and song lyrics, and plays film clips and mp3s).

resident djs
spin idm, downtempo, ambient, trance, electro, deep house... during meditation times, and as pre and post service music.

welcome/coffee lounge hosts
hand out service leaflets, usher, greet, hang out with visitors, make coffee and set out treats.

kid church
team members lead children’s church using godly play.

childcare
team members look after infants and toddlers during worship.

worship leaders
read scripture and poetry, lead prayers, assist with rituals and help serve holy communion at mass gathering worship.

visual art & environment
team members enhance worship and the worship space by creating works of art (paintings, hangings, murals, sculpture) and decorating (with fabrics, candles, symbolic elements) for the seasons of the liturgical year, thematic services and special events.

media artists,
create slides and digital imagery (using photoshop, powerpoint and sunday plus) and video clips (using a camcorder, avid, i-movie or final cut pro).
